Imogen Satur
Director, Speech and Language Therapist
I have 10 years experience working as a speech therapist and founded The Little Yorkshire Speech Co in 2023.
I completed my speech therapy training at the University of Sheffield and am qualified to masters degree level. I am a member of The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and a member of The Association of Independent Speech and Language Therapists.
I specialise in speech & language delay, speech sound disorder, developmental language disorder, Autism (with a particular interest and experience in Gestalt Language Processing), Stammering and more.
I am passionate about doing things a little differently in the private speech and language therapy space! I pride myself on how I communicate with the families I work with and how invested I am in your child’s therapy journey. I like to think outside of the box and will not hesitate to change the plan where required!
I do not underestimate the financial and emotional commitment that private speech therapy is and work to make it worth every penny and minute spent. My therapy approach is thorough, I get to know your child and what keeps them motivated and regulated. I tailor my speech therapy interventions to each individual child, keeping things as fun and child led as possible.
Children tend to connect with me easily through the comfortable energy I bring to sessions, perfected through daily practice at home with my own 4 year old daughter and two crazy dogs! A connected, at ease and regulated child is a child who is primed for learning. Your child’s emotional wellbeing will always be at the forefront of our work together.
Becky Hurst
Director, Speech and Language Therapist
I joined The Little Yorkshire Speech Co as Director in 2025, bringing over 10 years of experience as a Speech and Language Therapist.
I completed my training at the University of Sheffield, qualifying to master’s degree level. I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Independent Speech and Language Therapists.
I have experience supporting children with a range of speech, language and communication needs, with a particular passion for neurodiversity-affirming practice and Gestalt Language Processing.
I believe connection comes before communication. My approach is child-led, relationship-based and rooted in play, ensuring children feel safe, understood and accepted for who they are.
I celebrate every child’s unique strengths and ways of communicating, prioritising connection, regulation and meaningful interactions over pressure or expectations.
Having three boys of my own has deepened my understanding of play, motivation and regulation, as well as the hopes and concerns parents may have when seeking support. I work closely with families to provide compassionate, practical guidance tailored to their child.
A connected, comfortable and regulated child is a child who is ready to learn. Your child’s emotional wellbeing will always be at the heart of our work together.
Lucy Anderson
Speech and Language Therapist
Hi, I’m Lucy! I’m a passionate, friendly speech & language therapist who loves making fun, personalised therapy sessions - I think anything is possible with enough time and creativity!
I am qualified to masters level, completing the MMedSci in Speech & Language Therapy at the University of Sheffield. I am also a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) & the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (RCSLT). I’ve worked across both the private sector and NHS with children of all ages, and I have a passion for early intervention & making sessions engaging and motivating!
I specialise in working with children with a wide variety of needs, including speech sound disorders, language delays, & autism, and believe in creating an environment where the child can thrive and communicate in the way that best suits their individual needs.
I work to consider the plan of therapy that will work best for how your child communicates, and look to include activities and hobbies that they enjoy into our sessions.
I’m passionate about child-led therapy, as well as making sure that family and key adults feel empowered and able to continue activities outside of the therapy room. I’m keen to connect with both you and your child, and create a comfortable, happy therapeutic environment.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find me with my nose in a book (I’m a historical fiction fiend!) or out for a run. As with any speech therapist, my coffee machine is my most prized possession!
Tessa Salvi
Speech and Language Therapist
I am a Speech and Language Therapist with over 4 years of clinical experience across NHS and private paediatric services. Since graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy from the University of East Anglia in 2021, I have dedicated my practice to supporting children and young people with various speech, language and communication needs. I have a particular interest in autism and neurodiversity, AAC (Alternative and augmentative communication), Language Delays & Disorders (DLD/LD), and GLP (Gestalt Language Processing).
My experience in special schools, and as a specialist autism assessor also supports my practical understanding of diverse neurodivergent experiences and the challenges families face during the process of diagnosis and accessing of support.
My therapy approach is warm, gentle, creative, and adaptable. I think it is essential that a child feels safe and regulated before launching into therapy activities, and I will always take things at a child’s pace, which often means no two therapy sessions will look the same!
I am also committed to working with parents to create goals which are meaningful and motivating to a child, and will work with families, school/nursery staff etc., to ensure everyone is on the same page and feels empowered to try out techniques outside of the clinic walls.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and am also a member of The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Outside of my clinical work, I love bouldering, practicing yoga, painting and teaching cycling skills to children. I enjoy most activities that require creative problem-solving, balance and focus, to calm my nervous system and stay grounded in the modern world!
